Hi Sparkies!!! : ) Welcome to the first stage in our subcommittee recruitment process. Being a part of a subcommittee is a great way to be involved and get some automatic pep hours and work closely with fellow students. We have lots of ways to get involved with SparkSoc and be a part of our team:
1. Sponsorship officer (4 people)
As a part of the Sponsorship subcommittee you will be assisting our sponsorship director by:
- Building the 2026 Prospectus
- Contacting new sponsors
- Managing current sponsors
Sponsorship subcommittee is a great opportunity to work with sponsors and make some connections. Easily one of the most important positions, this role will allow you to branch out and build your soft skills through engagement with professionals.
2. Marketing officer (4 people)
As part of our new marketing subcommittee, you will assist our Marketing director with:
- Canva and Merch design
- TikTok, reels, and short videos for social media
- Newsletter
This is a good chance to be a part of the SparkSoc community! You can help assist our marketing director to get the word out about SparkSoc events, and build engagement with our members. Add the marketing/design skills you'll learn along the way and a portfolio of your creations to your CV!
3. Events coordinator (3 people)
As part of the events subcomittee you will assist the Events Director in organising professional, academic and social events by:
- Coming up with different event ideas and pitching them
- Organising sign up forms, tickets and scheduling to ensure they run smoothly
This is an amazing opportunity to contribute to keeping the SparkSoc community engaged with the society.
4. International Subcomittee (2 People)
As part of the international events subcommitte you will assist the international rep in running events in collaboration with other international societies or the community.
It is recommended that you apply for as many positions you believe yourself to be fit for, as this gives you the best chance at making it into the subcommittee.
While these are not formal executive positions in the society, it is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door if you are looking for a future position in the society. During our AGM, we elect the following positions:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Sponsorship officer
Marketing officer
Events Coordinator
Junior Vice President
International Representative
