  • ABOUT THE EUREKA ART AWARD
    The BAF Eureka Art Award is an invitational exhibition designed to showcase and celebrate Alumni who work in the visual arts.

    EXHIBITION CRITERA

    • Exhibiting artists must be an alumni of BAF. ie has been awarded a grant in our Annual Grant Round, a Small Equipment Grant, or been a Mentoring Program Participant.
    • A maximum of three works can be entered per Alumnus (3 small or 2 medium or one large work). Maximum dimensions: 1.5m wide x 1.5m high in total.
    • Works must be ready to be displayed using existing hanging systems or infrastructure. No nails, brackets, etc can be used (artists submitting smaller works, please take note).
    • Works must have been created in the period since the last Eureka Art Award. Therefore, works created since January 2024 - 2025 are eligible.
    • All works must be submitted as high-resolution colour image files, with the artists name and title in the title of the file – eg.  - P.Smith_Untitled.III.jpeg. Please photograph in front of a white wall or background - the quality of your photographs is especially important as they will be displayed in the online gallery.
    • Any electrical equipment supplied by the artist must be tagged and tested.
    • Please submit a summarised CV or a link to your website, which will be emailed to potential buyers on request.
    • Please specify a sale price, noting a 30% commission will be deducted - all funds raised assist the Ballarat Arts Foundation to continue to support emerging artists. Artists are reminded that buyers are looking for different price points, so small works are also welcomed.
    • Entries will be reviewed by a panel comprising of BAF board members and affiliates with visual arts experience and expertise. The Ballarat Arts Foundation reserve the right to refuse entry.
    • The Ballarat Arts Foundation and Gallery 10 take no responsibility for artworks damaged during the exhibition including transit to and from the venue.
    • Postal or freight costs will be charged to the buyer, not the artist, where applicable.
