Please Note:
This tournament has traditionally operated on a first-come, first-served registration basis. However, since teams are not yet formed and parents are eager to secure spots far in advance, the tournament committee felt it was important to create a fair process. To ensure all teams have an equal opportunity to participate, this will be an application for consideration to attend the 2026 Gary Tremblay U7 Jamboree.
📅 Tournament Dates: February 14 - 15, 2026
This is a 2-Day event, and all teams will play both days.
⚔️ Age Division
· Major – 6-year-olds / 2nd-year players
· Minor – 5-year-olds / 1st-year players
A skills questionnaire will be sent in mid-January to help us place teams into balanced groupings. For split teams, please complete the questionnaire separately; we will do our best to schedule their games close together so team activities can still be enjoyed.
✅ Team Selection:
Applications accepted until November 30, 2025.
Teams will be notified of selection no later than December 15, 2025.
Tournament fee:
· $850 – Small Teams (<14 players)
· $1250 – Large Teams (14+ players) *
Fees are non-refundable and due December 30, 2025.
*Teams with 14 or more players must register as two teams. This ensures fair ice time for all players and avoids the imbalance of a large roster competing against a smaller one.
⚖️ Note on U7 Skill Levels
Hockey Alberta recognizes that U7 hockey has a wide range of skill levels. While we do our best to create competitive matchups, there may still be games that appear one-sided. Please remember:
Scores are not recorded at U7.
The focus is on fun, fair play, and development.
Parents are encouraged to support all players by celebrating effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

🙏 In Honour of Gary Tremblay
This jamboree is held in memory of Gary Tremblay (1974–2015), a former LMHA president, coach, referee, Hockey Alberta member, and dedicated community leader. Above all, Gary was a family man who loved his wife Kelly, son Zachary, and daughters Hayley & Cassidy. His legacy lives on through this event.
“We’ll see ya at the rink.”
