    Please provide the appropriate names and contact information for 2 references (phone number and/or email address). We ask for your first reference to either be from a source outside of Habonim Dror such as a high school teacher or a mentor. If you participated in the Madatz program at one of the Habonim Dror machanot, we ask for your second reference to be from a Madatz madrich/a. If you did not participate in the Madatz program, please provide the contact information for a mentor/director who is qualified to discuss your leadership skills.

  • Payment Information

  • The cost of the 2026-2027 Workshop program is expected to be between $23,000-$24,000 USD. The official cost will be announced in the coming months, and we will update you once it becomes available. HDNA is committed to making Workshop as accessible as possible. Workshop tuition includes all educational programming, seminars and day trips, food, housing, living expenses, ground transportation within Israel, health insurance, and more.

    Program tuition does not include airfare to and from Israel or a recommended kupa (collective spending-money fund) contribution of $1,000-$2,000. All Workshop participants will also receive a $200 scholarship from Masa and will have the opportunity to apply for additional needs-based funding from Masa.

    If you plan on applying for the Amy Adina Schulman Scholarship or other scholarships that are available through HDNA, please be sure to fill out the HDNA Scholarship Form by May 1st, 2026.

    Sue Aistrop, our Business Administrator, will be in touch with families soon to provide more details about payment schedules and the initial down deposit.

  • Personal Statement

  • Please write a personal statement describing why you would like to be a participant on Workshop 76. The purpose of this statement is for us to start to get to know you and for us to understand how you are coming into this program. For more information about Workshop 76, please visit the Workshop page of our Habonim Dror programs website.

    Your personal statement must include answers to the following questions:

    • Why do you want to go on Workshop?
    • What skills and/or qualities do you possess that will enable you to give your full commitment to the program?
    • What skills and/or qualities would you like to strengthen?
    • What do you think you can contribute to Workshop and what do you hope to get out of the experience?
    • How do you feel about the emphasis on both formal and informal learning during Workshop (i.e.courses, Hebrew study, seminars, volunteer work etc.)?
    • What does kvutzah (group/community) mean to you? How do you feel about the emphasis on kvutzah development, communal living and communal decision making?
    • What do you think will be most difficult for you in this regard?
    • What do you think will be hardest/most difficult for you about the program?
    • Is there anything else you are concerned about or would like us to know?

  • After you submit this application, someone from Habonim Dror North America will reach out to you to schedule an interview. After this interview, you will hear back from HDNA regarding conditional program acceptance. If you are accepted to the program, we will be in touch with you about completing an initial enrollment deposit of $2,000 USD and the following forms:

    1. Payment Plan and Contract (once the official price is announced)
    2. Participant Health Forms (this includes: online personal health form, physician form, copy of latest immunization record, and if applicable - a letter from your mental health specialist if applicable)
    3. Habonim Dror Olami Forms & Participant Agreement
    4. Masa Registration

    Once these forms are complete, you will receive a final acceptance to the program.
