CHULA VISTA STARLIGHT PARADE ENTRY APPLICATION

Join us for a festive evening at the 61st Annual StarLight Parade and Festival in the heart of Chula Vista! This cherished South Bay tradition will transform Third Avenue into a sparkling holiday spectacle, filled with magical floats, cheerful performances, and fun for the whole family.

Parade Route: The parade will cover a one-mile route through Downtown Chula Vista, traveling along Third Avenue from I Street to E Street.

Expected Attendance: Approximately 25,000 spectators

Entry Approval: All parade entries are subject to approval by event organizers. Participants will be notified of acceptance via email. The number of entries in the parade will be limited.

Parade Entry Guidelines: We’re looking for entries that are engaging, imaginative, and festive!

Showcase your creativity with: Floats or push floats, marching bands or musical groups, dance or drill teams, colorful costumes or uniformed groups, antique, custom, or unique vehicles, comedic or theatrical performances. Let your imagination shine—think outside the box!

As an authorized representative of the organization/business listed on this application, I/we acknowledge and accept all risks of bodily injury and/or property damage that may occur to us or be caused to others as a result of our participation in the Chula Vista StarLight Parade. In consideration of being allowed to participate, I/we agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of Chula Vista, Soundskilz, and Upbeat Parade Productions LLC, including their elected and appointed officials, board members, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, losses, injuries, damages, suits, or legal actions that may arise out of or relate to our participation in the parade. This agreement also applies to any claims that may be brought by our successors, heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, or any other person or entity who may claim injury or damage on our behalf.

Additionally, I/we grant permission for photographs and/or video footage of our participation to be taken and used for promotional or publicity purposes by the parade organizers, with the understanding that no compensation will be provided.

I/we further understand that this indemnification and release applies to all facilities and locations owned or controlled by the City of Chula Vista, Soundskilz, or Upbeat Parade Productions LLC in connection with the event. Finally, I/we confirm that we have read, understand, and agree to follow all Chula Vista StarLight Parade rules and guidelines, both those provided now and any that may be included in the participant information package upon acceptance.
