  • Direct Advocacy & Resource Center

The event host, Direct Advocacy & Resource Center, works with individuals who have disabilities and older adults. We believe in "independent living" – everyone has the right to live and age in their own home, make their own decisions free from judgment, and to be treated with dignity and respect.

Some participants set up an Independent Living (IL) Plan – a personalized roadmap of achievable goals and specific, measurable action steps to maintain or achieve greater independence and self-sufficiency while others waive this option.

  • Direct partners with participants to work on their Independent Living Goals. Participants are responsible for keeping appointments and rescheduling when sick.

Direct can assist you in registering to vote or checking your registration status at any time.

Direct maintains confidentiality and does not disclose information about participants without their prior written consent, with these exceptions – imminent danger of harm to myself and/or others, compliance with legal/regulatory guidelines, and/or payment/operations. (Direct limits use/release to the minimum necessary when required to use, disclose, or request protected information.)

Participants may contact the Associate Director if they have concerns about Direct or its services. This Director will assist in resolving issues and help me to understand the appeal procedure: quality@directaz.org ▪ (520) 561-8779 ▪ 711 National Relay friendly
