Jr. Knights Girls Basketball

Information on Jr. Knights Girls Basketball:

Practices:
Practices will begin the week of October 7th and wrap up the first part of January. Practices will be held at either Unity Christian or Orange City Christian.

Tournament recommendations (these are approximate):
5th Grade: Scrimmages and 2 tournaments
6th Grade: Scrimmages and 4 tournaments
7th & 8th Grade: Scrimmages and 6 tournaments

Playing Time:
5th & 6th Grade
At this level, focus is on skill development, learning the fundamentals, and gaining confidence on the court. Practices and games teach the basics of basketball while encouraging teamwork and enjoyment of the sport. Playing time will be more evenly distributed to so each player can learn through game experience.

7th & 8th Grade
As the girls progress into junior high, we place a greater emphasis on competition and preparing players for high school basketball. Playing time will vary by skill level, effort in practice, and performance during games.
