    The facilitator David Ruela will focus on the rise of sports betting, defined as placing wagers on the outcome of sporting events, ranging from professional games to fantasy leagues and online platforms. Participants will gain practical tools, resources, and best practices to promote responsible play and reduce gambling-related harms in their communities. David Ruela is the Region 4 Problem Gambling Coordinator with Amplify. David has been working directly in the prevention and recovery field since 2017. He has a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Science with a concentration in Public Health and Health Promotion. David has experience working with children and families. Through his experience in prevention and recovery, David has been able to improve outcomes in families, remove barriers, and promote a healthy lifestyle in the communities he works in.
