  • Saving For The Future

At Jonathan’s Path, we believe in you and your future. One of the best ways to build stability is learning how to save and manage your money. That’s why we’ve created the Financial Future Path—a simple, safe way to start saving while still having access to your funds when you need them.
  • What is the JP: Financial Future Path?

The JP: Financial Future Path program is designed to help you build smart money habits and prepare for financial independence. With our support, you’ll open your own checking account and a JP Savings account in your name. The checking account gives you full access to your money anytime, while the savings account provides a safe place to set money aside for the future. Every dollar in these accounts belongs to you—JP is simply helping hold it securely and guide you in making wise choices. This program is a first step toward learning how to save, spend carefully, and build a strong financial future.

Step 1: Open a Checking Account

We can work with your current bank and exisiting checking account, no need to move anything over.

If you do not already have a checking account, with the help of our banking partner, Pinnacle, can help open your own checking account. The setup is easy and all done online—you don’t have to go anywhere. This checking account is set up for money you can access any time to pay bills, etc. Jonthan's Path does not have access to this money or account. When needed, we will transfer money from the JP savings account to your checking account.

Step 2: Open a Savings Account

We’ll open a separate JP Savings account in your name. This account belongs to Jonathan’s Path, but the money inside is always yours. You can add money anytime you want, but you won’t have instant access to take it out. Instead, you’ll need to request a transfer, which takes up to 24 hours. Having a little delay before you can spend gives you time to think about whether the purchase is really important. It makes it easier to save for bigger goals—like a car, school costs, or moving into your own place—without the temptation of spending everything right away.

    How to Access Your Savings

    • If you need money from your JP Savings, just make a request using the form on our website. ACH transfers are not instant—it typically takes 1–3 business days for funds to move between banks. Processing time may vary based on cutoff times, weekends, or holidays. If you need instant access, you have the option to pick up a check at our Franklin office.
    • Requests made after 3:00 pm Friday will be processed on Monday after 9:00 am.
    • Transfers can’t be made on federal holidays.
    • Sometimes, we may ask you why you’re taking money out—just to help you think through all your options before dipping into savings.

    Why This Matters

    • Saving gives you security and peace of mind.
    • Having both checking and savings accounts sets you up for financial independence.
    • Learning to pause before spending helps you make choices that support your goals.

    We’re Proud of You
Taking this step shows responsibility and strength. You are investing in yourself, and we’re honored to walk alongside you as you build a brighter future.
