We are excited to have you volunteer for the 2025 NXR Northwest cross country meet, taking place on November 14-15, 2025 at Spokane Polo Fields. Please complete and submit this form. Volunteer assignments are limited and will be filled first come, first served. Further volunteer details will be emailed on Monday of race week.

Volunteer Guidelines

- Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and committ to being present for the duration of the entire assigned shift.

- Arrive and check-in 15 minutes prior to your posted shift time for volunteer orientation/training

- Lunch will be provided to all assigned volunteers on Saturday

- NXR hoodie will be provided to volunteers completing their assigned shift (Hoodie sizing is subject to availability)

- Most importantly, we want you to have fun and make the race a fun and safe enviroment for the competitors and spectators!

VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTIONS

Volunteer Assignments could include any of the following tasks and will be assigned on race day by staff at volunteer check-in:

Course Monitor - control spectator flow at specified points along the course.

Green Team - remove garbage and recycling to dumpsters.

Start Line - assist with organizing athlete gear after the start of each race.

Finish Line - assist with keeping finish box cleared and restricting access to meet officials only, handing out water bottles to athletes.

Offsite Shuttle Admissions - directing spectators to purchase online tickets at offsite shuttle lot.
Volunteer Shift Preference - space is limited and first come first serve (please do not sign up for the ALL DAY shift unless you are willing to volunteer ALL DAY)*

VOLUNTEER WAIVER AND RELEASE:

Volunteer agreement: I have agreed to work as a volunteer for NXR Northwest, an event operated by Rhyno XC LLC, and do so of my own free will. As a volunteer, I am not an employee or agent of Rhyno XC. I understand this role does not include compensation or payment of any kind. Furthermore, I acknowledge that Rhyno XC does not offer health insurance, workers’ compensation insurance, or any such employee benefit to volunteers. As a volunteer, I agree to maintain my own health insurance during my time as a volunteer for Rhyno XC.
I fully recognize and accept that volunteering has risks and unforeseen dangers (such risks could be, but are not limited to: mental/ emotional stress or physical injury). I am accepting and understand the physical requirements of volunteering for an event held outdoors and the exposure to elements and will be prepared for the forecasted weather, be that heat, cold, rain, snow, etc. I understand that I have the right to review each activity prior to my participation and choose to participate of my own free will.
I pledge to act and perform my duties in a manner which provides for the safety of the participating athletes as well as their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
I acknowledge that Rhyno XC does not guarantee safety. I voluntarily waive, release, and hold harmless Rhyno XC, its members, employees, agents, staff, sponsors and other volunteers from all claims, accidents, injuries, or death that result from actions related to my volunteer activities. I hereby release Rhyno XC from any claim whatsoever which arises or may arise in the future on account of any first aid treatment or other medical services that are conducted in connection with an emergency during my time volunteering. I understand that this document disqualifies me from recovering damages against Rhyno XC should I be injured in the course of my duties. I shall defend, hold harmless, and indemnify Rhyno XC, its members, employees, agents, staff, sponsors, and other volunteers from and against all claims, accusations, notices, judgments, rulings, liabilities, expenses, etc. that may exist as a result of my actions, inactions, errors, acts, or omissions.
I am entering this agreement voluntarily without any coercion, undue influence, or impairment from any substance, health condition, or disability of any sort. This written agreement is the only agreement between Rhyno XC and myself. No verbal agreements have been made between Rhyno XC and myself. Any agreement that I have made with Rhyno XC, whether verbal or written, is fully and solely represented in this written agreement.
I expressly agree that this Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Idaho in the United States of America, and that this Waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho. If any part of this agreement is deemed unenforceable, all other parts shall remain effective. Any legal dispute between the parties shall be adjudicated only by arbitration. The cost of arbitration shall be split evenly between the parties. The party who substantially prevails shall also be awarded the half of the costs of arbitration that the party has paid. In any legal dispute between the parties, the party who substantially prevails shall be awarded costs and attorney fees. This agreement is binding on my partners, friends, heirs, assignees, dependents, personal representatives, and estates.
