Adult Recognition and Awards Nomination 2026
  • Adult Recognition and Awards Nomination 2026

Let's honor the rock-star volunteers who make such a difference to our Girl Scouts! Nominations are due July 15, 2026.
  • Do you know a Badgerland Girl Scout volunteer who has made an exceptional contribution this year to further the Girl Scout mission? Or a volunteer who has made a significant impact in a Girl Scout’s life? These are the inspiring individuals we want to recognize through our Adult Recognition and Awards.

Help us tell their story. The strongest nominations include specific examples, personal stories, and concrete details that show how a volunteer made a difference.

We know so many of our volunteers work hard, go above and beyond, care deeply for Girl Scouts, and do incredible things every day — and we celebrate that. Because those qualities are true of so many deserving volunteers, general statements alone do not give the review committee enough information to distinguish a nominee’s unique impact.

Please move beyond general praise and share the story behind your nomination.
Instead of telling us a volunteer is amazing, tell us:

    • What did they do that was exceptional?
    • What challenge did they help solve?
    • How did they impact Girl Scouts, families, or other volunteers?
    • What moment or story best illustrates why they should be recognized?

Statements like “she always goes above and beyond,” “he cares about the girls,” or “they sell a lot of cookies” are a great start — but specific examples of how those qualities show up in action are what make a nomination compelling.

Detailed nominations matter. Our review committee relies on your examples and stories to fully understand a nominee’s impact.

    Quick Notes:

    • Consider asking others to nominate the same volunteer you believe is going above and beyond. Multiple nominations can strengthen a volunteer’s consideration.
    • Encourage co-nominators to share different stories and examples, not just repeat the same praise. Unique perspectives make a nomination stronger.

Nominations are due July 15, 2026

  • Step 1: Tell us about yourself:

  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • Step 2: Tell us about the volunteer you are nominating:

  • Step 3: Share more about your nominee:

  • Please provide specific examples of how this volunteer has gone above and beyond as a Girl Scout volunteer.

Tell us all you can — and be specific. The strongest nominations include concrete stories, examples, and outcomes. General statements like “she works hard,” “he cares about the girls,” or “they always go above and beyond” do not give the review committee enough information to fully evaluate a nominee.

Show us what makes this volunteer exceptional by sharing stories such as:

    • A moment when they made a meaningful difference for youth or adults
    • A challenge they solved or obstacle they helped overcome
    • An example of leadership, initiative, creativity, or impact
    • A story that illustrates why this volunteer stands out

Detailed examples matter and help strengthen a nomination. Think about sharing examples related to:

    • Engagement — How do they include, support, or mentor other adults?
    • Youth Focus — How do they create fun, inclusive, youth-led experiences?
    • Adaptability — How have they made thoughtful adjustments when needed?
    • Communication — How do they demonstrate clear, respectful communication and active listening?
    • Fostering Diversity — How do they value, nurture, and embrace differences among youth and adults?

Tip: Specific stories and unique examples are far more powerful than general praise.

  • Step 4 (optional): Award selection: Do you have an idea of which award(s) may be the best fit for your nominee? Please select all that apply.
