    Performance Entry Form

We are thrilled to announce the return of the Moray Dance Christmas Performance for its second year!

This special event is designed to give our dancers a fun, confidence-building stage experience. It offers a wonderful platform for students to take center stage, showcase their creativity, and express themselves through movement.

    How It Works

Dancers are invited to create and choreograph their very own routine—utilizing the technical skills, musicality, and technique they’ve developed in class.

✨ Choreography: Created independently by dancers in their own time.

✨ Performance: Shared in a supportive, festive environment in front of family, friends, and fellow performers.

✨ Eligibility: Open to all Moray Dance students from Primary 1 through Senior 6 (P1–S6).

✨ Formats: Dancers can perform a solo, duet, or group dance—or perform more than one!

✨ Open Rehearsal: New Elgin Hall — Saturday 19 December, from 1pm (Optional, but highly recommended)

✨ Performance: Lossiemouth Town Hall — Sunday 20 December, 11am

  • Music & Duration Guidelines

✨ Music Choice: Where possible, music should feature a Christmas or festive theme. All tracks must be age-appropriate and suitable for the chosen dance genre.

✨ Platform Availability: To ensure we can easily source your track for rehearsals and the performance, your chosen song must be available on Apple Music.

✨ Dance Length: To ensure all performers get their spotlight time and the performance runs smoothly, routines must be no longer than 2 minutes.

  • Payment & Tickets

Dancer Entry Fee: £12.00 per dancer

     Spectator Tickets: £5.00 per person

Booking: All tickets will be available to purchase online via TicketSource from 1st October 2026.

  • Costume & Presentation Guidelines

✨ Attire: Dancers are welcome to perform in simple costumes or standard Moray Dance class uniforms. The main focus of this performance is creating a positive, encouraging, and supportive environment for everyone.

✨ Footwear: Please ensure footwear is appropriate and safe for the chosen style of dance.

✨ Hair: Hair should be neatly styled to complement the genre and kept clear of the face during performance.

✨ Jewellery: For safety, all jewellery must be removed prior to taking the stage, or securely taped if it cannot be removed.

  • Photography & Filming Policy

✨ Moray Dance Media: By submitting an entry, you consent to Moray Dance staff taking photos and video footage during the event, which may be featured on our official social media channels and promotional materials.

✨ Opting Out: We fully respect your privacy choices. If you wish for your child to participate without being photographed or filmed by our staff, simply let us know in the consent box on the entry form below.

✨ Personal Photography & Filming: Audience members are very welcome to take photos and videos of their own child(ren). To protect the privacy and safety of all participants, please ensure no other dancers are captured in your footage or posted online.
