  • CHLOE COULTRIP (Euclid 2018, Lothlorien 2018-20)

Chloe Coultrip lived at Lothlorien from 2018-2020, and Euclid for a summer in 2018. Chloe is currently in a masters program to become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and is also part of a group that has started a community space in SF called The Nook. Chloe believes that community is extremely powerful, and she is interested in being on the Board because that's where it all started for her. Chloe had a great experience in the student coops and wants to stay connected with, and give back to, the BSC. Chloe feel that she can bring new ideas, lots of energy for event planning, and community organizational skills that she has developed through living in community.

  • BRIGITTE DAVILA  (Ridge, Le Chateau, Rochdale, Fenwick Weavers 1979-81)

Brigitte Davila (she/her) spent ‘79 through ‘81 living it up at Ridge Project, Le Chateau, Rochdale, and Fenwick Weavers—though Le Chateau will always be her ︎.  She served as Secretary of the Student Board at Ridge Project (writing meeting minutes Herb Caen style) and House Manager at Le Chateau (surviving switchboard chaos, rooftop luaus, and an impromptu solar eclipse trip). Now, a retired college professor and former elected San Francisco trustee, Brigitte credits the co-ops with teaching her how to run a meeting, wrangle a budget, organize folks, and throw legendary parties—all essential life skills. She's up for building a BSCAA that’s as fierce, funny, and community-minded as the houses she called home back in the day. She brings decades of leadership, deep Chicana roots, and a love of collective mischief to the board. Let’s keep the spirit alive—statute of limitations and all.

ANNE HADREAS (Wilde 2000-01, Fenwick 2002-04)

Anne Hadreas (she/her) lived in Oscar Wilde House and Fenwick Weavers' Village from 2000 to 2004 and hopes to be able to contribute to the system that was very formative for her. During Anne’s time in the co-ops, she held various positions, including house president, social manager, waste reduction manager, and AdCom representative. Anne was also on the board of directors for two years. She is now an attorney working in the judicial branch, primarily on mental health policy. • ANDREA GINSBERG (Kingman Hall 1992-94, Davis House 1992)

What genius co-oper hatched the idea for a “Snacks” workshift? I’d like to say I did (I didn’t), but I can say it was my favorite Kingman shift to work and enjoy (lemon bars!). Cooking for my housemates and sharing food with friends is but one of the community experiences I cherish from my time in the co-ops. The BSC is a gift to be protected for future students, and I’d like to do my part in ensuring others have the same opportunity I did. To support the Board and advance the BSC mission, I bring three decades of experience in marketing & communications strategy and execution, including project and event management. With my passion for education, training in personal financial planning, and a non-linear career path, I would love to investigate with the Board options for developing educational programming for current students and alumni as they navigate life beyond the BSC.

  • GRAYSON JOHNSTON (Cloyne 2009-11) *Returning Director

Grayson lived at Cloyne Court from 2009-2011, while pursuing his B.A.s in English and Anthropology. While living at Cloyne he usually pursued normal work shifts, but did also serve on the social crew, as well as one semester as editor of the Cloyne Crier. His experience living in the co-ops was without a doubt the most formative and influential aspect of his experience as a student at Cal. Many of his closest friends, and even his wife, he first met while living at Cloyne. Currently, he has worked in the UCB departments of Rhetoric and Film & Media for the past 4 years, serving as the Undergraduate Major Advisor for the last 3. While he loves working with all of his students, he finds it especially gratifying to advise current co-opers. He loves gardening, travel, and his two cats and dog.

  • JONATHAN LAMPMAN (Barrington 1967-68, Cloyne 1968-69) *Returning Director

Jon lived at Barrington and Cloyne when he was a student at Berkeley. After retirement Jon joined the Coop Alumni Board. He actively helped organize a number of events including a Cloyne history night, a happy hour for younger alumni, and several Strawberry Creek tours and optional work parties. For the past 5 years Jon actively participated in Special Give and helped the Coops through donations.

  • PORTIA LEWIS (CZ 2018-20, Rochdale 2020-21, HiP 2021) *Returning Director

Portia first moved into Casa Zimbabwe (CZ or Die) in 2018 after transferring to UC Berkeley following four fantastic years at community college (CC). While at CC she earned two AS degrees in Natural Science and in Social and Behavioral Science, as well as, an AA in Anthropology. At Cal she double majored in Anthropology, BA and Conservation and Resource Studies, BS. It would be an understatement to say living in the Berkeley Student Cooperative changed her life. Portia had the opportunity to be the Non-Perishables Coordinator at CFS, and work as a Herstorian, Workshift Manager, and House President while living at CZ. She then moved to Rochdale and then Hillegass and Parker (HiP – formerly Le Chateau), while at HiP she was the Kitchen Manager and Community Builder. Not to mention she made memories and the friends of a lifetime. She graduated in 2021 and continued to remain heavily involved with the BSC. She was one of the lead organizers of the Save Rochdale Coalition and is currently involved with the ongoing lease negotiations. She is grateful for the opportunity to be on the BSCAA Board, and she plans to use the opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the BSCAA and BSC, fundraise for the Rochdale remodel, and to plan for the future of the BSC/BSCAA.

  • GINGER MCCLESKEY (Chateau 1979-82)

Ginger lived in Chateau coop (now HIP house) from January 1979 until her graduation in spring 1982.  During that time, she enjoyed various work-shifts including Switchboard Manager, Social Manager, and especially Dessert Chef on Homecook nights.  She graduated with a BA in Psychology, and has been self-employed for the last 40 years. Her interest in being on the board is inspired by her desire to give back to the co-ops, which were a key component of her college experience; all her college-era friendships were made at Chateau, and the opportunity to live and work and attend house meetings with her peers was broadening in many ways. As the cost of a UC Berkeley education has soared into the stratosphere, the importance of an affordable place to live has never been more important, and today’s students face many additional challenges.  Ginger looks forward to finding opportunities to “pay it forward” by joining the BSCAA board.

  • SUZANNE OLIVIER (Barrington Hall 1978-80, Rochdale Apartments 1980-83)

Suzanne (she/her) lived in Barrington Hall from Fall '78 to Fall ’79, and then in the Rochdale Apartments from Fall ’80 to Spring ’83. Suzanne was a switchboard supervisor at Barrington for part of the time she lived there. Suzanne has worked in publishing as a developmental editor of STEM educational materials her whole career. Suzanne still works as a freelance editor. She also has some experience with marketing and communications. Living in the co-ops was life-changing for her; Suzanne still has friends she met in Barrington in 1978. She would like to be able to give back and to keep the co-ops as a viable and vibrant option for current students. She is especially interested in mentoring early-career students in the communication areas.

  • ANALISE SMITH-HINKLEY (Cloyne 2008, Wilde 2008-10) *Returning Director

Analise joined the board in 2010 and has served consistently for the past twelve years. As a co-oper she served as a board rep and special events coordinator for CO and really loved working with alumni and students together, so joining the board immediately upon graduation was a natural choice. Her priorities as BSCAA President in the coming years are to prioritize diversity, accessibility, and inclusivity (starting with the Board itself!); to strengthen the BSCAA’s internal infrastructure in order to better empower the members to do more; and to facilitate the most harmonious and productive collaboration between the BSC and BSCAA yet. In her paid life Analise is a realtor with Generation Real Estate serving Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco; prior to that she worked in marketing communications at UC Berkeley’s Cal Alumni Association and in e-commerce in Los Angeles. She just finished writing her first novel, and she married a fellow Clone–so needless to say she’s never escaping the co-ops.
