FJL Summer in NY/DC 2026 Application & Onboarding:
- Complete the FJL Application (this form). The application will ask for some basic personal information, details about your Jewish background and involvement, and two short essay questions (100-150 words each). It should take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
After your application has been reviewed, you may be invited to schedule an online interview.
You will be notified within two weeks regarding the outcome of your application. If accepted onto the programme, a non-refundable deposit of £500 will be due within five days in order to confirm your place.
- Internship Placement: Once your deposit has been received, you will begin the internship placement process with FJL’s internship coordinators. Further details about the placement process can be found on the FJL website.
- The remaining balance is due when your internship is confirmed or two months before the programme starts, whichever comes first.
- Financial Assistance: The full cost of setting up and running the programme is in excess of £6,000. Due to the generosity of FJL donors, all applicants will be granted an automatic subsidy. The cost after this subsidy is £4,450 (Sterling). You may request additional financial assistance in the application.
*Flight costs are not included.
**Participants must purchase travel health insurance through FJL’s group policy. More details will follow.
