• City of Dallas Municipal Court Call for Entries 

  • The City of Dallas Office of Arts & Culture, in collaboration with the Dallas Municipal Courts, invites Dallas-based photographers to submit digital images for consideration in the Municipal Courts’ permanent art collection at 2014 Main Street. Submissions should reflect the spirit of Dallas by highlighting its landmarks, architecture, and cultural icons. Selected works will be professionally produced, printed, and framed by the City of Dallas, and permanently displayed in the building’s entry, corridors, hallways, and offices. Each selected artist will receive an award of $250, and their name will be recognized alongside the installed work. 

    Timeline

    October 24, 2025 – 5:00 p.m.: Submission deadline
    November 7, 2025: Selected artists notified
    November 14, 2025: Final high-resolution images due from selected artists

  • Artists must either live in the city limits of Dallas or work in a studio within the city limits of Dallas. NOTE: Highland Park, University Park, and Cockrell Hill are NOT considered within the City limits of Dallas. (see the City of Dallas boundaries map at http://gis.dallascityhall.com/cityinfo/) 

    City of Dallas employees are eligible to submit artwork for consideration but if selected, are not eligible for compensation for their participation in the exhibit.


    SUBMITTING ENTRIES 
    No entry fee is required. Artists may submit up to three photographs.  Artists should submit entries as digital files (JPEG, PNG). 
    Deadline for Submissions: Entries must be received by October 24, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

  • SELECTION NOTIFICATION: 
    The selected artists will be notified by email by November 7, 2025. If your artwork is not selected for display, you will not receive a notice. The decision of the exhibition curator is final and undisputable. 


    A $250 stipend will be provided to selected artists. Once the selection process has concluded details will be communicated through the contact information submitted in the application.
