Requirements for Lay License
- Confirmed members in good standing of the Episcopal church.
- Nomination for Lay License from the head of your congregation prior to training.
- Safe Church Safe Communities online training within the last 3 years.
- Praesidium background check in the last 3 years.
In order to be licensed, the bishop requires a nomination from the priest (PIC) in charge of your home congregation. Please note: In absence of PIC, a nomination from your congregational leadership will also be accepted.
