Official Nomination Form 2026 Awards
For over 60 years, Keep Michigan Beautiful, Inc. has recognized programs, projects and activities that substantially contribute to the beautification of the State of Michigan by local government, community groups, schools, youth groups, businesses, or individuals. There are 3 levels of awards: President's Award, Michigan Award, andDistinguished Service Award. Each award level recognizes a valuable contribution to beautification. The awards are presented at a banquet honoringthe winners. For 2026 the banquet will be held Oct. 16 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Southfield. Questions to Answer
1. Write a complete description of the project. What was the motivation for the project? When did the project begin? Is the project completed or ongoing?*
2. How many people were involved with the project? Were those involved paid personnel or volunteers? How has the project impacted the community? Did it fill a need?*
3. How was the project financed? Were public or private funds used? What was the nature of fundraising?*
4. Write a 100-200(max word summary of your project. This description will be published in a booklet KMB compiles describing all the projects recognized.*

Your entry will be judged on the following: Adequate description of your project, answers to the questions asked, pictures and other visual documentation of the projectplus quality of presentation. You are encouraged to include articles written for newspaper or other media, letters of recommendation, or any other information supporting the nomination. All rules and conditions must be followed.

1. Projects must be in Michigan and not previously nominated unless it reflects an addition to the previously recognized project. 2. Private residences are not eligible nor are interior projects unless the interior project is a part of historical preservation. 3. Type all nominations when possible. 4. Place your nomination, documentation and supporting materials neatly in a folder. Please label all pictures. 5. Mail your nomination, including this form, to the address below or send your nomination by email. 6. Your contact person will receive notice when the nomination has been received by KMB. Winners will be notified with specific information about the KMB Award Program to be held 10-16-2026. Nominations will be accepted at the discretion of the judges when the above conditions have been met.
