Rachel's Naughty and Nice Advent Competition

Some of the team at OVH are already getting into the festive spirit! Our lovely Rachel, mostly seen on reception giving treats and fusses to the visiting patients, is already looking ahead to December.

Rachel would like to invite our clients to join in her love of the festive season by submitting pictures of their pet(s) for our social media advent.

If you'd like your pet(s) to feature in our December countdown, please submit pictures and a little background to Rachel. The judging for this is in her hands, she would love to pick 24 of our cutest, funniest, most adorable or the cheekiest and naughtiest patients to share.

We aren't just looking for pedigree show pets, we want to see them whether they're babies, oldies, cross-breeds or pure. Perfectly imperfect, cute, cheeky, grumpy or just plain old funny. Don't worry if they're missing an ear, a leg, a tail or a few teeth, we'll love them as much as you do.

Please include a story for Rachel, to tell her why your pet should be chosen. She would love to have a story that shows your pet's character and tells her whether they should be on the naughty or nice list this December!

The invitation is open to clients and patients of Oakham Veterinary Hospital.
This invitation is for our registered patients. If you're not registered with us, we won't be able to use the images, but you are very welcome to register.

Before you upload pictures, please contact our team on 01572 722646 to update your details, so that these match those on the consent form, then you're welcome to return to submitting your pictures to us!
Your picture(s) must be:
- Clear
- In Focus
- Well-lit
- Of your own pet(s) - please don't include pictures with any humans or anyone else's pets
- On a good background
- Of the original quality where possible - not reduced, edited or cropped. Original mobile phone pictures are usually of the right resolution, Rachel can crop them as needed
- As it's a festive contest, festive pictures are welcome but it doesn't have to be seasonal, the pet and the story is what they're judged on.
- All small animals welcome, not just dogs and cats!
Rachel will pick her 24 pets from submissions and post these daily starting from 1st December. Only she will know who's in them so watch out for your pet!

All pets featured are equal competition winners, regardless of the date they appear!

In submitting your pet pictures to us and completing this consent form, you agree that Oakham Veterinary Hospital has your permission to use the images you send in our December 2025 Advent Contest. This will be published on our Facebook and Instagram pages and may also be featured in our reception area.

In giving your consent, you agree that the image will become the property of Oakham Veterinary Hospital. You may withdraw your consent at any time, by notifying us in writing but, if your pet has been selected and published, we will be unable to withdraw the image or story.

You must complete all sections of this form and you must be the rightful owner of the pet in order to provide consent for use of the image(s). If you share ownership with anyone else, by submitting this form you are confirming that you have also sought their consent to send this information to us. Oakham Veterinary Hospital will not be held liable for any consequences of information being submitted to us without the rightful consent of all interested parties.

We only have 24 days to feature in our Advent competition so may disappoint some people. With a huge number of very beautiful pets, we can assure you that, if your picture isn't featured, it's only because Rachel has had a very difficult choice.
