  • Health Information

Our camp has an on-call doctor we may contact at all times of the day. The camp director and manager are Wilderness First Responder certified, and all other camp staff are required to have a minimum certification of Basic First Aid and CPR/AED.
  • Our policy is to contact the parent or guardian as soon as possible in case of a serious accident or injury.  Please notify the camp manager if medical information changes by the drop-off day.  Please bring all medication in ORIGINAL CONTAINER, or you will not be allowed to leave the medication or vitamins at the camp.  No exceptions.  All prescriptions must be in that camper's name and the correct dosage.

  • All fields are required below. If nothing applies, please put "NONE" in the box. If the camp manager or director has further questions about medical conditions, you may receive a follow-up call to ensure we can best accommodate the camper! Thanks.

  • Firearm Safety Rules

Shooting sports is part of our Outdoor Adventure Camps program. Please read the following Firearm Safety Rules with campers to ensure they understand and will comply with the rules during activities.
    1. Treat all firearms as if they are loaded.
    2. Keep firearms pointed down range at all times and do not break the 180-degree line.
    3. Keep your finger off the trigger, unless firing.
    4. Keep firearms holstered, cased, or in a gun rack and unloaded until you reach the firing line.
    5. Be aware of your target and beyond before firing.
    6. Do not move down the range until all firearms are unloaded and checked by the Range Master and holstered, cased, or in the gun rack.
    7. Eye and ear protection must be worn while on the range.
    8. Load firearms only when given the command to do so.
    9. If you have a problem or see a safety hazard, call out loudly and raise your hand. Stay facing forward and keep your hand raised until Range Master comes to help you. The Range Master will call for a “Cease fire!” when a hand goes up.
    10. Do not anticipate a command.
    11. If in doubt, do not fire.
    12. No smoking, alcohol, horseplay, or talking on the firing line.
    13. The Range Master(s) will be in red or orange.
    14. The Range Master has the final say on all matters.
    15. Wash your hands before eating and/or drinking. This will help remove lead contamination.
    16. All firearms must be unloaded before entering the range.
    17. All firearms must be unloaded before leaving the range.
    18. Do not clean guns at the Rasmuson Wildlife Conservation Center. Guns will be cleaned by the range staff only under the supervision of the Range Master.
  • Camp Rules, Expectations and Guidelines

The following information pertains to camper conduct, equipment needed by participants, medical information, and release forms. Our camp is designed to provide fun outdoor learning experiences for participants. To ensure a safe, fun, and successful camp experience, participants need to meet the following expectations:
    1. Participate in all scheduled activities. Adequate sleep time and free time have been scheduled.
    2. Participants are to remain at the event for the scheduled time unless authorized by Camp Coordinators.
    3. Participants are to respect quiet hours and dorm guidelines.
    4. Participants are expected to be prompt at all events and honor camp guidelines.
    5. Participants are asked NOT to bring electronic games, laptops, iPads, MP3/video players, or other electronic devices. Cameras and cell phones are permitted for taking photos only. We have a good, old-fashioned landline if the camper needs to call home!
    6. Use or possession of tobacco (this includes cigarettes or smokeless tobacco), alcohol, and illegal drugs is prohibited while at Outdoor Adventure Camps.
    7. Pets and other animals are not permitted at Outdoor Adventure Camps. Service animals are welcome to attend along with the camper. However, any animal that has not been trained to perform tasks related to a camper's disability, such as emotional support animals, must be left at home. For information on clarifying a service animal from an emotional support animal, visit https://disabilityrightsmt.org/resources/service-animals/. If a camper is attending OAC with a service animal, please notify the Camp Manager so we can make accommodations as needed.
    8. If bringing medication prescribed for the camper, said medication must be brought in original containers and be prescribed explicitly to the camper. Medication (except Epipens, rescue inhalers, or other emergency life-saving medications/devices) will be turned in to the Camp Manager along with a Medication Drop-off Form. Qualified Outdoor Adventure Staff member will dispense medication.
    9. No personal firearms or other weapons are permitted on the property.
    10. If the camper drives themselves to camp, their car keys will be turned in to the camp manager upon check-in and locked in a safe in the main office. The camper is not permitted to leave the camp property for the duration of camp, unless authorized by both the Camp Director and the camper's parent/legal guardian.
    11. The camper is permitted to bring their own fly-fishing rod to camp if desired; however, it is not required, as we have fishing equipment to supply campers with. If a personal fly-rod is brought, the camper is only permitted to use it during scheduled group activities that include fishing supervised by staff.
    12. Most importantly, participants are asked to respect other campers and adults and the property of others. Campers will conduct themselves in a safe, intelligent, and responsible manner. Respect the rights of others.
