  • About the Award

  • This award is given to an individual or individuals who have dedicated significant time, effort, and leadership that has had a positive impact on the creative economy and the arts in Johnson County.

     

    Examples of impact may include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: 

    • Nominee's involvement in the arts, such as:
      • impact on arts education
      • volunteer work in the arts
      • increased access to the arts for underserved individuals and/or communities
    • Nominee's leadership in major arts initiatives
    • Nominee's efforts to increase funding and resources for the arts
    • Nominee's efforts to increase public awareness of the arts

    Nomination application process:

     Nominations should be submitted to ACJC in a statement generally not to exceed 500 words, excluding supportive materials. 

    Timeline for 2025:

    • Application solicitation:  October 1st
    • Application Deadline:  November 1st
    • Review Committee recommendation by November 6th
    • Approval of nomination at the November 19th ACJC board meeting
    • Announcement of award recipient:  November 21st
    • Award recognition: December 3rd at Creative Connections Breakfast
