This award is given to an individual or individuals who have dedicated significant time, effort, and leadership that has had a positive impact on the creative economy and the arts in Johnson County.
Examples of impact may include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Nominee's involvement in the arts, such as:
- impact on arts education
- volunteer work in the arts
- increased access to the arts for underserved individuals and/or communities
- Nominee's leadership in major arts initiatives
- Nominee's efforts to increase funding and resources for the arts
- Nominee's efforts to increase public awareness of the arts
Nomination application process:
Nominations should be submitted to ACJC in a statement generally not to exceed 500 words, excluding supportive materials.
Timeline for 2025:
- Application solicitation: October 1st
- Application Deadline: November 1st
- Review Committee recommendation by November 6th
- Approval of nomination at the November 19th ACJC board meeting
- Announcement of award recipient: November 21st
- Award recognition: December 3rd at Creative Connections Breakfast
