The Links, Incorporated General (Academic) Scholarship
Criteria and Eligibility:
• Current high school senior of African-American descent living in San Joaquin or Stanislaus Counties
• Applicant must demonstrate participation in extracurricular activities
• Applicant GPA must be 3.0 or higher

Lavenna Moppins Gray Community Service Scholarship
Criteria and Eligibility:
• Current high school senior of African-American descent living in San Joaquin or Stanislaus Counties
• Applicant must demonstrate participation in and commitment to community service
• Applicant must have GPA of 2.5 or higher

Application Due Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026, 5 PM

A complete scholarship application must be submitted electronically and includes:

    1. General information Form.

    2.  Two letters of recommendation submitted electronically from:  

    a)  A school staff member familiar with your academic accomplishments

         b)  A community leader of an organization in which you served

    3.  An unofficial copy of your current transcript

    4.  Responses to the essay questions below:

        a)  Describe your academic interests, awards, extracurricular activities, and    any involvement in community service.  Please include any specific challenges that you have faced.  500 word limit

        b) What inspires you, what are you passionate about?  500 word limit.
