Join Jay Duplass and Megan Griffiths for a conversation about how to create in a landscape that often seems openly hostile to the independent spirit. As a quadruple threat (actor, writer, director, producer), Jay has spent decades exemplifying how to build a sustainable career in an constantly shifting industry. He will share stories, dispense some of his hard-won wisdom, and offer up productive ideas on how we can all navigate this together.

Moderated by filmmaker Megan Griffiths, all proceeds from this conversation will go to support the Lynn Shelton "Of A Certain Age" Grant. This grant was formed by Northwest Film Forum alongside Duplass Brothers Productions in 2020 after Shelton's untimely passing, and supports women, non-binary, or transgender filmmakers, age 39 or older, working to direct their first narrative feature. The 6th cycle of the grant is currently accepting applications--more information here.

All workshops have a suggested registration fee of $100, however we do offer a sliding scale, pay-what-you-can model for those who need that option.
