Volunteer Agreement Terms and Conditions:
This Volunteer Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Bless & Be Blessed, Inc., DBA 3rd Saturday’s DTO (“BBB”), a California corporation with 501(c)(3) status, located at 115 S. Palm Ave, Ontario, CA 91762, and the undersigned volunteer (“Volunteer”).
1. Purpose of Agreement BBB organizes and hosts the 3rd Saturday’s DTO event, as well as other nonprofit events. These events showcase vendors, artists, entertainers, and various activities aimed at supporting the community. The Volunteer agrees to provide services to BBB to assist in the organization and operation of these events. Volunteer duties may include, but are not limited to, administrative tasks, event setup and teardown, vendor coordination, artist assistance, and general labor.
2. Volunteer Status the Volunteer acknowledges and agrees that:
They are volunteering their services freely and without coercion. They will not receive any compensation, wages, or benefits for their services. They are not an employee of BBB and are not entitled to workers' compensation or any other employee benefits under California law.
3. Responsibilities The Volunteer agrees to:
- Perform their assigned duties to the best of their abilities.
- Follow all instructions and comply with policies and procedures established by BBB.
- Conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and cooperative manner while representing BBB.
- Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including health and safety regulations.
4. BBB’s Commitments BBB agrees to:
- Provide the Volunteer with the necessary information, training, and support to perform their duties.
- Maintain a safe and respectful working environment.
- Recognize and appreciate the Volunteer’s contributions.
5. Release of Liability The Volunteer hereby releases and holds harmless BBB, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, arising out of or related to their volunteer activities, including but not limited to personal injury or property damage, except to the extent caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of BBB.
6. Confidentiality The Volunteer agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information they may have access to while volunteering for BBB.
7. Termination of Agreement Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, by providing written notice to the other party. Bless & Be Blessed, Inc. a 501(c)(3) 115 S. Palm Ave, Ontario CA 91762
8. Compliance with California Law This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. The Volunteer acknowledges that they are not entitled to minimum wage or overtime compensation under California law because they are volunteering their services for a nonprofit organization without expectation of pay.
9. Entire Agreement This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between BBB and the Volunteer concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, or understandings, whether written or oral.
10. Severability If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Acknowledgment and Acceptance By signing below, the Volunteer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agrees to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
