The Palisade Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to the Annual Olde Fashioned Christmas Soup Challenge on Saturday, December 6th, 2025. The Soup Challenge is one of the highlights of Olde Fashioned Christmas, attracting hundreds from our community and beyond each year. We would be very excited to have you participate this year and share your amazing soups with our community. If interested in participating, we must hear back by Nov. 1st. Details about the Soup Challenge:
- The Soup Challenge location will be held in Downtown Palisade at the plaza from 11:00AM until 2PM. Judging begins promptly at 11a.m. Open to the public immediately following judging.
- You may arrive as early as 10AM to set up your station. There will be a short pre-event meeting at 10:30 a.m. to explain final details, answer questions, and allow time for other Challengers to taste each of your uniquely made soups.
- Participants are required to bring eight (8) gallons of soup. We encourage you to bring a gas stove since it is the easiest to work with. If you must use electricity, please make sure to bring extension cords. Power can be tricky in the Plaza, so please be prepared.
- We will provide placards with your name and the name of your soup, a serving table and a back prep table, serving bowls and spoons, and tents (if inclement weather is expected). Please make sure to bring your own equipment/ladels.
- Let me know the details of the name of your soup and the name of the provider (either company name or chef name) by November 29th.
People's Choice- The public has the option to pay $10 to taste all of the soups or $5 for a cup of one soup of their choice. Those who choose the tasting option are encouraged to vote for their favorite.
- Prizes will be awarded for Best of 2025 Soup Challenge, Runner Up, and People’s Choice. The winners will be announced by our media sponsor during the festivities and presented with unique prizes!
