  • Are you ready to revolutionize your teaching practices?

Join the Arizona Educational Foundation in the Cox Innovation Lab for an exciting, hands-on training in classroom 'maritime' robotics & logistics, crafted for 4th-12th grade educators of all experience levels. Using the accessible LEGO Spike Prime Robots, participants will spend the majority of the session working hands-on with these innovative tools. Participants will explore effective ways to integrate robotics into their curriculum. Come see how classroom activities can intersect with the Naval Science & Technology focus areas.

The training covers essential engineering and coding skills, while showcasing robotics connections across content areas such as Science, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Literacy, and Math. Participants will gain access to our comprehensive STEM Lesson Plan Database, which includes over 2,000 lessons, dozens focused on robotics, to support your instructional planning and provide ready-to-use classroom ideas. This session combines pedagogical insights with hands-on practice, ensuring participants are equipped to spark curiosity and critical thinking in their students through robotics at any grade level.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, April 25th from 8:30am-3:30pm at the Arizona Educational Foundation office located at 326 E. Coronado Rd., Ste. 207, Phoenix, AZ 85004. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided along with robotics related giveaways.

Any questions, please reach out to Jonathan@azedfoundation.org We look forward to working with you!

    Robotics for Every Classroom

While we will be building with the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Set, this day is designed to be platform-independent. The logic participants build here, how to engineer a solution to a problem, is directly transferable to VEX IQ, Edison, Sphero, or any block-based robotics system. Participants will leave with a framework for "Naval Tech" missions that they can take back to whatever hardware is currently in their class.
