The Colorado Intertribal Policy Alliance (CIPA) considers endorsements carefully to ensure they align with our mission, values, and the priorities of Native communities across Colorado.
Policy
- CIPA endorsements are nonpartisan and based on alignment with issues impacting Native peoples.
- Endorsements are approved by a vote of the CIPA Membership.
- CIPA may endorse candidates, ballot measures, and legislation that demonstrate a clear benefit to Native communities.
Process
- Submission: Candidates, campaigns, or organizations may request endorsement by completing this form.
- Interview: Candidates are invited to an interview with CIPA membership or will be provided with a questionnaire to be returned to and reviewed by CIPA membership.
- Recommendation: CIPA membership will vote to endorse or not endorse a candidate or campaign.
- Announcement: Approved endorsements are shared with CIPA members and the public through our website and social media. Candidates will be provided with our logo and a release that they may share on their website and social media.
