Alchemy in Ink Inquiry Logo
  • The Village Witch: Alchemy in Ink

Alchemy in Ink is a unique offering involving a blend of my support work as a peer counselor, witch, and tattoo artist. Here's how it happens: I'll book a one-hour Zoom call with you where we'll dive into where you're at in your life and I'll perform a tarot reading to help guide us in the creation of your custom tattoo design. From there, we'll choose a date for you to come in for your alchemical piece of art, and I'll begin designing this piece especially for you. At your appointment, I'll show you the design concept and there will be time to incorporate any possible feedback you may have about alterations.
  • Good to know: My tattoo studio is a masks-required, shared space called Hey You which is operated with two other artists and occasional guests. We are a queer-owned and run studio that prioritizes safety, consent, and care.

Your session will be at one of three stations in our studio, and there will likely be other artists and clients in the space with us. As we have a limited amount of space, we cannot accommodate additional people other than clients.
  • About Me:

I’m Callie Little, a licensed, self and community-taught tattoo artist working out of a cozy Ballard, Seattle studio since January 2022.
  • Please be aware that you are required to be vaccinated to come to the Hey You studio. We are home to immunocompromised artists and cannot allow unvaccinated clients at this time.

We appreciate you understanding this requirement. We also require that all clients wear a quality mask and self-test for COVID within 24 hours before the appointment time to help reduce infection rates.

  • We occasionally have a small dog in our studio. If you would prefer no dog to be present for your tattoo, please simply let me know ahead of our session! This is in no way a burden and we are happy to oblige.

  • Alchemy in Ink

Let's discuss some of the basics of your this session so everything is clear. Please take your time and read this information fully.
  • Deposits

If I accept your proposal, you will be given the opportunity to choose a session from my calendar. Upon choosing your slot, you will need to send a completely non-refundable $200 deposit to @goshcallie on Venmo.

$100 of this deposit is applied to your hour-long Zoom session, and $100 is applied toward the end cost of your tattoo. For example, if your tattoo's total cost is $400, you will have a remaining balance of $300 at the end of our appointment.

If you need to reschedule either your Zoom or studio appointment with me, your deposit may be moved as long as I have more than 7 days' notice. Reschedules made within 7 days of your appointment require a new $100 deposit. ❤️ NO EXCEPTIONS ❤️

  • Payment

As of January 2023, I accept *CASH ONLY* at your appointment. Please bring this with you as we do not have an ATM nearby. Upon accepting your proposal, I will request a deposit via Venmo or PayPal, but otherwise you must bring payment in cash.
  • Pricing

    Please read this carefully.

I use a sliding scale pricing system and generally work within the budget you provide in your inquiry form. I will typically offer you a range of pricing at the end of your tattoo session. Please feel free to let me know your preferred budget as well as your maximum.

My sliding scale breaks down as follows:

Tier 1 is reserved for those with very little expendable income.

Tier 2 is for those who don't have a necessarily large income but can afford small luxuries such as eating out twice each week.

Tier 3 is for those who are financially stable and expendable income.

I ask that higher earners add additional compensation as makes sense for their level of income. As a disabled artist, those who are able to pay more are an enormous blessing in my life.

My minimum for custom pieces is $275 for minimal detail. *Most* customs from me fall within a $400-800 range.

In general, smaller pieces (up to 3"x3") containing very minimal detail will fall in the $250-350 range.

For more medium-sized pieces (4"-6") with mid level details, pricing would likely range from $400-850.

For large pieces (7"-10") with high levels of detail, pricing would likely be in the $600-1,200 range but can go higher depending on the complexity of the project.

*** Clients with considerable income are encouraged to pay more than quoted on this page.

  • Thank you!

I so appreciate you taking the time to reach out about an Alchemy in Ink session. I try to respond to as many inquiries as possible, though this may take a matter of weeks, so please be patient as I sort through email and other work. I’ll let you know how we can move forward or, in the case that I’m not the right artist, may try to provide references to other artists I think might be better suited. I truly appreciate your interest in working together and send blessings and gratitude your way.
