Kyogle Council is excited to invite applications for the Community Grant Program. The program seeks to support not-for-profit organisations and individuals in the Kyogle local government area (LGA) to deliver activities and projects that provide a benefit to the wider community.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

All applications will be assessed against the following criteria.
1. How will the community benefit from your project?*
2. How does your project align with Kyogle Community Strategic Plan 2025 – 2035 (select 1 or more from the list below)?*

LIVEABILITY (L1) - Towns and villages that are clean, well maintained, accessible, safe, and attractive places to live.LIVEABILITY (L2) - Quality recreation spaces, including parks, playgrounds, walking tracks, and cycling trails, for the community to enjoy.LIVEABILITY (L3) - A vibrant, welcoming community with people actively involved in events, the arts, local groups, and volunteering.LIVEABILITY (L4) - Access to health, wellbeing and community services that meets the needs of our local communities.LIVEABILITY (L5) - Protecting the area's unique character and celebrating natural and cultural heritage and history.LIVEABILITY (L6) - Housing, infrastructure, services, and communities that are more prepared for and able to recover from natural disasters.PROSPERITY (P1) - Strong tourism industry and unique experiences that attract more visitors to support local businesses and provide local jobs.PROSPERITY (P2) - More business activity, including keeping existing and attracting new retail, industrial and service businesses.PROSPERITY (P3)- Attractive and thriving Kyogle Town Centre with the right balance of character, greenery, parking, shopping and public spaces.PROSPERITY (P4) - Strong and sustainable agricultural industry made up of large and small producers that are viable and resilient.HOUSING (H1) - More homes of all different types and sizes, including units, family homes, rural blocks and rentals.HOUSING (H2) - Accommodation and services for older community members to stay in their home or community as they age.HOUSING (H3) - Social, emergency and crisis accommodation options to support vulnerable community members.HOUSING (H4) - The right essential infrastructure and services to enable new housing development, including roads, waters, sewer, and waste collection.ENVIRONMENT (E1) - Thriving natural environments with health ecosystem functioning and high levels of biodiversity.ENVIRONMENT (E2) - Effective land management, including control of weeds and pest animals to protect the natural environment.ENVIRONMENT (E3) - Health rivers, riverbanks and waterways in the Richmond and Upper Clarence catchments.ENVIRONMENT (E4) - Innovative approaches to reducing environmental impacts, including more recycling and reuse.

Please note – applicants are not required to be experiencing a condition of hardship. Instead, this is one of the factors that Council considers when assessing applications. *
