STAND, AMLÉ and UCC Students Union are running a one day bystander anti-racism training aimed at student leaders (students in leadership roles in AMLÉ, student unions and student societies across Ireland).
The day begins at 11am with a 2-hour workshop facilitated by Melissa Bosch. The workshop offers student leaders an essential opportunity to reflect on their own biases and perceptions, and to learn how to respond safely and effectively to racism.
Lunch will be provided: 1.00-2.00pm
From 2.00pm-3.00pm there will be a panel discussion, "Building Anti-Racist Student Communities" chaired by student activist Ebere Edeh.
This session is designed for youth and student leaders who want to lead by example in standing up against racism and creating cultures of respect.
