  • Expression of Interest Form for Hiring At-Risk Graduate Palestinian Students and Scholars

    PSSAR Match & Twin Labs
  • The Palestinian Students and Scholars at Risk (PSSAR) Network is a volunteer-driven program committed to preserving Palestinian academic life by connecting high-achieving students and scholars affected by conflict with vital opportunities, primarily in Canada and the U.S.. As a Canadian professor, your expertise can make a profound difference by fostering academic access and global collaboration.

Through this form, you can express your interest in supporting our mission via two distinct programs:

    PSSAR Match

This core initiative connects eligible Palestinian graduate students with fully funded, research-based Master's and PhD opportunities at Canadian universities. PSSAR identifies 3-5 tailored student profiles that align with your research interests for your review, facilitating placements where students receive institutional funding for their studies.

    PSSAR Twin Labs Program

Designed to address funding gaps, this program establishes direct, peer-level research partnerships between Palestinian and Canadian labs. It pairs one Canadian professor with one Palestinian professor and two Palestinian graduate students for collaborative research. Notably, students receive compensation directly from PSSAR through this program, bridging financial and logistical gaps for those in unfunded positions.

These collaborations focus on joint research projects that address local needs and challenges within Gaza and the West Bank, strengthening Palestinian higher education. Canadian professors participate as volunteers, leveraging their resources and expertise to co-create research and mentorship frameworks.

You can apply to either or both programs through this form. Choose the initiative that best aligns with your capacity to champion academic solidarity and empower the next generation of Palestinian scholars.
