The Pass the MIC Fellowship is a program of Be Loud Studios that amplifies youth confidence and voice through radio production. Teachers selected as Fellows will receive training, resources, and support to lead student-centered storytelling projects.
In order for a teacher to fully participate, we require confirmation that their school leadership is aware of their involvement and supportive of this opportunity. More specifically, teachers receive high-quality professional development and benefits from this fellowship, including:
- Development on digital literacy and podcasting in a classroom space: creation, facilitation, student voice.
- A community of teachers committed to youth voice in classrooms.
- A personal stipend.
- Classroom equipment, including microphones, software, and other needs.
By signing below, I confirm the following:
1. I am aware that the teacher listed above has been selected to participate in the Pass the MIC Fellowship.
2. I support their participation and understand that it may involve program-related activities, workshops, and student engagement opportunities.
3. I acknowledge that Be Loud Studios may request a partner media release form from the school, and I am willing to review and sign it to allow appropriate student participation in media projects.
