PoMoArts is excited to announce the artist call for Rise, our biennial student exhibition supporting artists at every stage of their journey, whether they are beginner, emerging, or established.

Share your 2D and 3D creations and join an exhibition that encourages artistic exploration and highlights the talents of the PoMoArts community.

Open to artists of all ages who have taken a PoMoArts class in 2024, 2025, or 2026.

Key Dates:

• Exhibition Dates: May 14 - July 5, 2026
• Deadline for Submissions: Sunday April 5, 2026, 11:59pm
• Artists Notified By: April 17, 2026. 
• Artwork Drop-off: Wednesday May 6, 2026, 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Opening Reception: Thursday May 14, 2026, 6:00 - 8:00 PM 
• Artwork Pick-up: Tuesday July 7, 2026, 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Artists who were registered in visual arts classes (eg. painting, drawing, ceramics, etc.) at PoMoArts in 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible to apply. All 
  
• There is no fee to submit an application.
• All artwork must be professionally presented and ready to hang or display.
• The artist is responsible for transporting the artwork to and from PoMoArts, including any costs relating to shipping and packing the artworks.
• PoMoArts retains 30% of the selling price of artwork offered for sale with 70% to the artist.
• Applicants must be a BC Resident.
• By submitting, you are granting permission to PoMoArts to use images of artwork accepted into the exhibition for publicity purposes.
• PoMoArts provides wall signage and labels, and printed and digital promotional materials, including rack cards, posters, social media assets, and newsletter features.
• Exhibitions are promoted via our website, newsletter, social media, and in local print and digital media.
• We appreciate all submissions, but only those selected for consideration will be contacted.

Artwork Images

Image Upload Instructions: 

• Please upload up to 4 artwork images. 
• Please name each image file using the following format:
  LastName_TitleOfArtwork (e.g., Smith_RisingTide)
• After uploading images, the file names are listed below the image upload button. Input each file name into the image list below then fill in the corresponding fields.
• If artwork is not for sale, enter "NFS" under the "Price" column. 

After submitting your proposal, you will be redirected to a confirmation page and will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder or contact us at submissions@pomoarts.ca
