  • Use of Personal Information

    In accordance with Md. Code Ann., Section 4-501(c) of the General Provision Article, MEA advises Applicants of the following:

    • Information requested by the Application is necessary to document the completion of the project and to assure installation of a qualifying system.
    • Failure to provide any and all required information may result in ineligibility for a grant and termination of any grant award.
    • MEA is subject to Maryland’s Public Information Act and information provided may be subject to disclosure upon request for inspection. Except for purposes directly associated with this Program, including processing your technical assistance application, personal information or confidential business information will not be disclosed, unless required by law or court order.
    • As set forth in Sections 4-502 et. seq. of the General Provision Article, you have the right to inspect, amend, or correct your personal record.

    This application is for technical assistance only. However, if the solar project is constructed, the requirements in §§ 14-416 and 17-303 of the State Finance and Procurement Article may be applicable.

    Project Location Workforce Requirement

    This application is a request for technical assistance only. However, if the MEA funding is subsequently used to support the construction of a solar project, the installer will be required to comply with §§ 9-20B-05 of the State Government Article, which requires that at least 80% of workers participating in a project or program that receives money from the SEIF must reside within 50 miles of the project or program. As the Public Building Solar Grant Program is a statewide program, MEA will determine compliance based on whether at least 80% of worksite workers reside in Maryland, or within 50 miles of Maryland's borders.
