Belle of the Bayou (0-7, 8-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17 & 18+) Novice-Beginner only. Must compete in interview, solo, two baton, and strut.
Queen of the Krewe (0-7, 8-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17 & 18+) Intermediate-Advance only. Must compete in interview, solo, two baton, and strut.
Little Miss Grace and Glitter (0-7, 8-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17 & 18+) Novice-Beginner only. Must compete in Solo and Artistic Twirl

Overall Winner in each group will be determined using place points: 1st place point, 2nd place=2 points, etc. For example, an athlete placing 1st in solo (1 point), 4th in modeling (4 points), and 2nd in 2-baton (2 points) would have a total of 1 + 4 + 2 = 7 points. The athlete with the fewest place points in each age division will be the winner. A tie in place points will be broken by combining the total scores in all disciplines.

Elementary Who Dat Champion (Champion will advance to the State Classic Event)

We will award 1 winner from each of the categories listed. Once you have won an individual title at any of the participating competitions, you may only enter your routine for comments only. This is a qualifying event for the 2026 Louisiana/Texas State Championship.
Qualifiers will need to add this event to their state entry and pay an entry fee of $25.00 for the Louisiana/Texas “Southern Classic Champion” event.

The top two in each age group will advance to the Lagniappe Finals. Age breakdown for finals:

Qualifiers in each category will be awarded a special Mardi Gras Prize
We will have three champions based on the finals age breakdown:

All three winners will advance to the Louisiana/Texas State Southern Spice Champion event
Please note that once you have been crowned the champion at any of the participating contests this season, you may not enter this event again.

*Music for the Lagniappe Champion will be Adv Solo music. You will not be deducted points for finishing early.
*The disciplines for the title events are separate from the “regular” individual disciplines. All title events are not sanctioned by the USTA. So, an entry in the title events enters an athlete in the required disciplines for their level, and only athletes who entered in the title events will compete in each of those events. Athletes who entered in the title events may also choose to enter the same events in the Mardi Gras Masquerade Competition.
