    • 2. APPLICANT INFORMATION 
    • WHO ARE THE STUDENTS?

      • Projects must be provided to a specific closed-group of learners, meaning they are not open to the general public.

      • Arts Education projects should be done in partnership with an existing closed group of learners such as a club, residents of a senior living facility, individuals receiving social services, or a camp.

      • These groups may be composed of a particular age group (including adult learners), or for participants of all ages.

    • WHO IS THE APPLICANT OF RECORD?

      • The individual, collective or group, or unincorporated entity. For those working with a Community Partner, the individual, collective or group is the Applicant of Record
      • Nonprofit organization directly applying for a grant to provide programming for a closed-group of learners
      • Fiscal Sponsor applying on behalf of an individual, collective or unincorporated entity

      All Arts Education Projects must take place in the same county as the county-of-residence of the Applicant of Record.

      Please provide the Applicant of Record's primary contact information so that CREATE may reach the applicant in the case there are needs for follow up. Provide actively in-use points of contact to prevent delays in communication.

      Partner School is a public school the Applicant of Record is working with to provide in-school during the school day or After-School programming.


      Ars Education regrant funds must not replace, or appear to replace, the role of certified arts teachers in schools. Inter-curricular collaboration for in-school projects is encouraged but not required.

      Introduce the creatives involved in this project by sharing their resumes/bios and work samples for panelists to review and learn more about them.

    • WHAT ARE EXAMPLES OF WORK SAMPLES?

      Work samples can be uploaded as PDFS or links can be listed. 

      When uploading a PDF, please make sure to upload 1 PDF document with all your work samples in a single file.

      • All uploads must be submitted as a PDF (sound samples are one exception - these may be submitted as an MP3).
      • Submit no more than the requested volume of material:
        • Video or Sound - upload sample OR provide up to 3 links (maximum of 3 minutes combined total of all submitted materials)
        • Writing - maximum of 2 pages, 12 point font
        • Visual Arts - maximum of 10 images Artistic work samples

    • 6. ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION 
    • PLEASE NOTE - the contents of this section are for administrative purposes only. Your individual answers are private; they will not be seen by panelists, nor will they influence any decision regarding funding. This is simply information that must be reported to NYSCA annually.

      The undersigned certifies that: 1) they are authorized to sign on behalf of the organization or collective listed and have authority to obligate it; 2) this action has been authorized by its Board; 3) they are applying as an individual with the documented support of a local Community Partner and have agreed to Community Partnership defined by the Letter of Commitment that accompanies this application and 4) have read the Community Arts Grant Guidelines and agrees to comply with all listed requirements and responsibilities related to the completion of all projects as described in this application.
