    Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor with the Whittier Uptown Association in Whittier, California.

    This form includes the Vendor Agreement, Market Rules, and Participation Expectations. Please read each section carefully before completing and signing, as your submission will serve as acknowledgment of your responsibilities as a vendor.

  • Vendor Contract Terms and Conditions:

    The Whittier Uptown Association hosts a variety of community-based events and marketplaces in Whittier, California. These events are organized and operated with the purpose of supporting local businesses, artisans, service providers, and community organizations, while creating opportunities for residents and visitors to connect in a safe, welcoming, and vibrant environment.

    Participation as a vendor is a privilege extended to those who demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to the Association’s standards. By entering into this agreement, vendors acknowledge their responsibility to uphold the reputation of the Whittier Uptown Association, comply with all policies and procedures, and maintain conduct that reflects positively on the event and the surrounding community.

    This agreement is entered into between the vendor and the Whittier Uptown Association. By execution of this contract, the vendor agrees to adhere to the following compliance terms, rules, and expectations as set forth by the Association.

     

    Right of Termination: The Association reserves the right to terminate this contract, with or without cause, at its sole discretion.


    Attendance and Absences: Vendors are required to be present and prepared for business at all scheduled market dates and times.


    No-Call/No-Show: Any absence without prior notification shall be deemed a no-call/no-show. Proof of a legitimate emergency must be provided to the Association within a reasonable period. Failure to provide such proof may result in immediate termination of this contract.


    Unexcused Absences: Two (2) or more unexcused absences within any three (3) month period may constitute grounds for termination of this contract.


    Excused Absences: Absences may be excused only if the vendor provides written notice to the Association at least one (1) week in advance, unless otherwise approved by the Association in writing.


    Tardiness: Repeated tardiness may be grounds for disciplinary action up to and including termination. The Association may, at its discretion, issue verbal and/or written warnings prior to termination.


    Vendor Conduct
    Any verbal altercation, aggressive conduct, or hostile disagreement directed toward the Association, its representatives, customers, or fellow vendors will result in immediate termination of this contract.


    Audit Rights
    The Association reserves the right to audit vendor sales and operations at any time. Should an audit reveal a variance of thirty percent (30%) or greater between reported and actual sales, the Association may immediately revoke the vendor’s right to participate in the market and terminate this contract.
