  • BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP

    • Must be a business related directly or indirectly to the recreational boating industry.
    • Must have a phsyical place of business or active business operations for a period of at least one year.
    • Must fully complete application to be considered for membership approval.

    • Applications are reviewed by a membership committee and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval at the monthly board meeting.

  • MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE & ANNUAL DUES

    1. Join as an Active Member if you meet the below criteria:

    • Active Membership is available to businesses with a physical location in the state of Ohio.
    • Active Membership has voting rights in membership meetings.

    2. Join as an Out-Of-State Active Member if you meet the below criteria:

    • Out-Of-State Active Membership is available to businesses located outside the state of Ohio.
    • Out-Of-State Active Membership does not have voting rights in membership meetings.

    Active Members are marine dealers and brokers that actively engage in the sales of boats, PWC's and other watercraft. Yacht clubs and marinas also fit into this category.

    Annual Active In-State Dues: $1,250

    Annual Out-Of-State Active Member Dues: $2,500

    3. Join as an Associate Member if you meet the below criteria:

    • Associate Membership is available to businesses both within and outside the state of Ohio.

    Marine-related businesses that sell or provide a service that is directly tied to the boating lifestyle. For example, shops and apparel brands and furniture sales. Marine-support businesses that provide support services to marine industry members and/or the boating public. These businesses are engaged in the care and keeping of watercraft, storage, electronics, flooring, dock sales, etc. These businesses directly support the boats, boat owners, or dealers.

     Annual Associate Member Dues: $495

    4. Join as a Non-Profit (501c3) Member if you meet the below criteria:

    • Non-Profit 501c3 Membership is available to non-profit entities both within and outside the state of Ohio Your organization must be a registered non-profit entity.

    Annual Non-Profit (501c3) Member Dues: $75

  • Upon application approval, I agree to read and abide by the association's bylaws, particularly information pertaining to membership in Article V, which accompanied this application. I understand that if my application is approved by the OMTA Board of Directors, I will be invoiced for the current dues. $1,250 annually for Active Members, $495 annually for Associate Members, or $75 annually for Non-Profit Members.
