    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a motivated and organized multitasker to join our Technical Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily fiber booking process, ensuring flawless coordination for live sports events and routine network testing. This individual must communicate clearly with both internal operations teams and external partners, providing accurate and timely information ahead of each event. Prior experience with broadcast transmission workflows and a solid understanding of broadcast channel chains are required.

    General Duties/Responsibilities:

    Track all scheduled live events using the Live Event Calendar.
    Create and submit booking requests for fiber lines for each live event and daily/weekly network testing windows.
    Collaborate with Operations to verify bookings ahead of testing windows and FACS windows.
    Manage and update all fiber bookings in a centralized master tracker.
    Monitor and adjust booking windows (extend, re-book, goodnight, cancel) as required.
    Coordinate with external partners and vendors to fulfill booking requests and last-minute changes.
    Distribute booking confirmations and updates to all internal stakeholders and live event partners.
    Provide clear escalation paths and ensure accurate documentation of all booking activity.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast, Media, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
    Proven experience in broadcast scheduling, transmission booking, or similar operational role.
    Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools: Google Workspace (Sheets, Calendar, Forms), Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom.
    Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
    Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and external vendors.
    Willingness to support live events during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Strong knowledge of broadcast transmission systems (fiber transport, SMPTE 2110, 2022-7 redundancy, SDI/IP workflows).
    Familiarity with event-based issue tracking and change management processes.
    Experience working in a live sports broadcast environment.
    Knowledge of master control and technical operations workflows.

    This is a freelance role. $250/per shift
