Eligibility
The Cecil Brown Scholarship is open to people aged 18-30 who live in, or have a strong connection to the Monaro region and are actively involved in the sheep and wool industry. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to developing skills, knowledge, and experience that will benefit both their own careers and the local industry.
Things to Consider Before Applying
Travel to New Zealand and an educational activity are core parts of the scholarship. Applicants should outline their preferred learning activity as part of the application.
The successful recipient will be expected to share their experience at an MFS field day and, in partnership with the Executive Officer, contribute to MFS communications (e.g. newsletter, social media, local media).
The recipient may also be invited to join the scholarship committee the following year.
If no suitable applicant is identified, the committee reserves the right not to award the scholarship that year.
