    New Club Charter/Club Charter Renewal Information

    This form is intended for Los Angeles Trade Technical College Clubs that are established and in good standing who need to renew an Official Club Charter, or for those who would like to Charter a new club. Please note that clubs are required to fill out a Renewal Form once a year and submit an update report each semester, i.e. Fall and Spring. Please attach any recent changes to your Club such as: President, Club Constitution, etc.

    MINIMUM STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. All club officers MUST be enrolled in 5 units for the entire semester.
    2. All club officers MUST have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA per semester and cumulative
    (If club officers are first semester students, they are exempt).
    3. All club officers MUST have ASO fees paid with proof that is upload or attach a copy of your paid ASO receipt from the business office.
    Note: High School students attending classes on LATTC campus may participate as a general club member but not a club officer.

    The Inter-Club council (ICC) is the Governing Board of all clubs. ICC is a subordinate organization under the auspices of the Associated Student Organization (ASO). The ICC is composed of one designated representative from each chartered club, either the club President or designee.

    The purpose of the ICC is to assist clubs by:

    -Serving as a representative body of all clubs
    -Providing communication with other clubs
    -Assisting in the support of all club's programs
    -Providing forums for the expression of club opinions
    -Providing a voice for clubs on the ASO Executive Board
    -Assisting in club membership

    Each club board member must submit proof of paid ASO fees by submitting the following receipt. A photo of this receipt suffices.

    Access this receipt from the Business Office, located on the first floor of the Administrative Building (E-5), Window 11-15!

  • Ensure all the information you input is correct, without the proper club paperwork and approval, the Business Office cannot process checks or payment of any kind.

    A. Preside over all meetings and to see that the purpose of this club is followed. B. Responsible for reporting on the activities and plans of this club. C. Act as chairperson of the Executive Board. D. Create and appoint any other position necessary, subject to the approval of the club members. E. The President shall have the responsibility of reporting all violations to the club in writing.

    A. Keep the minutes of the business and executive board meetings.
    B. Sign all official minutes and obtain the signatures of the President and the Advisor on all official minutes. C. Present a paper copy of the minutes and reports to the President, and one electronic copy to the ASO Vice President. D. Maintain records and files of Business affecting the club. E. Perform other duties assigned by the President pertaining to the business of this club.

  • The Duties of the Treasurer:

    A. Maintain a record for the club account budget as (ask ASO for club account number) allocated and keep record of the remaining unallocated funds. B. Give a brief report or summary of the budget expenditures, remaining balances, and call attention to any unusual items at each club meeting C. Present club budget recommendations for approval. D. Verify and sign all requisitions for the disbursement of funds. E. Carry out duties as the President assigns in accordance with the treasurers responsibilities. F. Must be present during all club fundraisers and is required to come into the ASO office and count the raised funds with ASO and deposit into the Business Office. G. In charge of submitting proposals to ASO with signed minutes from the club meeting. quotes, flyer, and purpose of event. H. Turn in Proposal 3 weeks before the event date. *Proposal includes: a flyer, a quote (cost breakdown), minutes from your clubs meeting approving the proposed event, and a brief program/description for the purpose of the event. I. Money earned during fundraiser money must be counted at the ASO office with ASO. Must provide receipts two (2) days after your club event for any funds provided by ASO.

    A. Keep in contact with the ASO and send all club photos from on-campus and off campus events. Create club flyers for any club-related events and promote them. Regulate Club Social Media Accounts.

  • The Duties of the Inter-Club Council Representative:

    A. Shall be the Vice President of official Established Clubs on campus. B. Shall attend all ICC meetings and act as a liaison between the ICC and their respective groups. C. Shall report club results of all ICC meetings and matters before the ICC Board. D. Shall vote on matters before the ICC. E. Shall be responsible for submitting completed packets and paperwork at all times and updating ASO & ICC of all changes. F. There shall be ONE (1) Primary ICC Representative per Club. Clubs may appoint an Alternate Representative. Alternates retain all rights and responsibilities in the absence of the primary representative, and can serve on committees. Either the primary representative or the President or advisor of the club represented shall have the authority to appoint the Alternate representative and must be present at the appointment. G. A member of another club cannot represent your club without permission from the President must have 24-hour notice to the ICC Secretary, ICC Co-Chair, or ASO VP.

  • Article III- Membership Section 1. Membership is open to all Los Angeles Trade- Technical College Students. Section 2. Members are to attend all Scheduled ICC meetings Section 3. Members are defined as students who have signed the membership list of the proposed club. The list will comprise 5 or more people. A minimum of 5 or more paid ASO members are required to be chartered. Section 4. The body of the club is its members Section 5. All executive, representatives, and committees are formed from the body of the club. Section 6. Non-members are those that have not signed the membership list. A non-member can serve as a volunteer.

    Section 1. The Officers of the club shall be the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Historian. Section 2. Re-election of the officers. if needed. will occur at the second official club meeting. The election will be conducted by the show of hands or secret ballot. Section 3. Vacant positions can be filled by Presidential Appointment if no one is interested in the position. Section 4. A list of elected officers will be submitted to the Vice-President of ASO

    ARTICLE VII- RESIGNATION OF OFFICERS

    A. The resigning officer must submit resignation in writing. The letter must be delivered to the club. This letter must explain the reason for resigning and the date of resignation. B. If the club executive boards officer is absent for three consecutive meetings. This can be grounds for impeachment. C. The resigning or impeachment executive officer position can be filled by the next ranking club officer in descending order. D. If the position is declined by the ranking club officer, an election among the club shall be held. E. The President has the power to appoint the vacant position.

    ARTICLE VIII- PROCEDURE

    A quorum will consist of one more than half of the total members.
