    LEAGUES

     

    SENIOR & MASTERS LEAGUES | 10 WEEKS | 1 FIXTURE EVERY WEEK

    Option 1

    • Days and Dates: Mondays (13 October - 15 December) 
    • Group: Senior Men
    • Timeslots: 18:00, 18:50, 19:40

     

    Option 2

    • Days and Dates: Wednesdays (15 October - 17 December)
    • Groups: Senior Men / Senior Women / Senior Mixed / Masters (35+)
    • Timeslots: 18:00, 18:50, 19:40

    Rules and Regulations (For Leagues Only)

    General

    • Groups may be modified depending on the number of teams
    • Teams will play a minimum of 1 fixture every week
    • Final Series dependent on the number of teams
    • A canteen will be available at the venue
    • Senior - Mixed teams must take the field with a minimum of two female outfield players at all times. 

    Number of Players

    • Minimum - 5 Players
    • Recommended - 6-8 Players

    Duration

    • Senior & Masters Fixtures - 2x20 minute halves | 5-minute half-time break
    • Junior Fixtures - 2x15 minute halves | 5-minute half-time break

    Competition Rules

    • Suitable Artificial-pitch footwear and shin-pads must be worn during the fixtures.
    • All players must wear the same colour playing shirt except the goalkeeper
    • There will be no throw-ins or corner kicks.
    • Kick-offs will be taken from the middle of the centre-line | Referees may call for a three-bounce start.
    • All players may use all four walls to bounce the football off of.
    • All players may enter the goalkeeper's area.
    • Unlimited interchange will be allowed for all fixtures.
    • The game automatically restarts with the goalkeeper if the ball goes behind the net of the goalposts.
    • The offside rule will not apply
    • There will be no pushing or bumping into walls.
    • If a team kicks the ball out of the pitch, the fixture will restart with the goalkeeper of the opposing team.
    • Serious foul-play will result in a player being sidelined for the rest of the fixture.
    • Players will be warned for reckless and unsporting behaviour.  Repetitive behaviour will result in players being sidelined for the rest of the fixture.


    Goalkeepers

    • Players can pass back to the Goalkeeper who must not pick up the ball.  If done so, this will result in an indirect freekick.
    • Goalkeepers must wear gloves during the fixtures.
    • Goalkeepers may pass the ball out of their feet or throw it out with their hands.
    • Goalkeepers must not kick the ball out of their hands or drop-kick the ball directly from their hands.  If done so, this will result in an indirect freekick from the penalty spot.
    • Goalkeepers must wear a different coloured shirt to the team.
      When in their hands, the goalkeepers have 4 seconds to dispose of the ball.


    Freekicks and Penalties

    • Penalties are 1 metre from the centre of the goal-line.  In the event of a penalty being awarded, all penalty takers can only take on step before striking the football.
    • All free-kicks are indirect.  The opposing wall must be a minimum of 2 metres away.

    All players and team officials must be registered with the Football SA in accordance to the process provided and agree to pay all fees associated with players participating in the competition.
