We offer financial support for educational pursuits that promote the TKT objectives which are:

To rebuild, reclaim and revive Moriori culture, heritage and identity
To promote a better understanding and educational awareness among Moriori and the wider community of Moriori culture, heritage and identity
To promote and foster a better understanding of the Moriori legacy of peace
Registered members of Hokotehi Moriori Trust and their tchimirik (children) may apply to the trust for education funding which meet the eligibility criteria.

Before proceeding ensure that you have the following ready for inputting/uploading to the online application form:
- Contact information (e.g. email, phone)
- Bank details (incl. deposit slip or screenshot of online banking)
- Course details (full or part time, place of study etc)
- Previous grants approved
- An explanation about how this study supports Moriori revival

Grant Details
TKT has established clear guidelines for education grant funding to ensure consistent decision-making, maintain sustainability for future generations, and support studies that align with the cultural goals of the Trust.

Standard funding limits for each year are:

Diploma/Certificate – up to $1,000
Bachelor’s Degree – up to $2,000
Postgraduate Certificate – up to $2,000
Master’s Degree – up to $3,000
Doctorate – up to $3,500
If your study is directly focused on rebuilding, reclaiming, or reviving Moriori culture, language, heritage, or identity, you may be eligible for additional funding beyond these standard limits.
