2025 Garfield Youth Boys Basketball Registration

- All players will receive free admission (with a paid adult) to 2 home JV/Varsity boys games. Players must wear their warmup to game to receive free admision. - Saturday, December 6th vs. Rootstown- Pizza with Players Day. The JV boys game starts at 1:00. All youth boys basketball players will be invited to stay after the high school boys game concludes to enjoy pizza with our JV/Varsity players. - Friday, February 6th vs. Southeast- Team/Players Introductions Night- All youth boys basketball players/coaches will be introduced during half time of the JV game. JV game starts at 5:30. - Boys youth teams will be participating in the MVAC Youth League (8-10 games). League games will start on December 6th. We will also be looking to get each team in 1-2 tournaments as well. Coaches will be contacting players mid-November regarding practices starting. Teams will practice 1-2 times per week in the evenings. Games will be played mostly on Sundays this year. THERE ARE NO SET TIMES FOR PRACTICES OR GAMES AT THIS POINT. That information will be available closer to the season starting.

- Players have the OPTION of using last years jerseys and shorts (pictured below) and signing up for a discounted cost. ALL PLAYERS will get new shooting shirts (warmups) this year. Cost this year will be $75 for returning players using jerseys and shorts from last year. Cost this year will be $125 for returning players wanting new jerseys and shorts. Cost this year will be $125 for new players. THE UNIFORM IS SOLD AS A SET...YOU CAN NOT REPLACE THEM SEPERATELY!

Please be aware that on/after October 31, 2025; there will be no refunds. If a player needs to withdraw before the start of the season; they will receive a full refund. GARFIELD BOYS YOUTH BASKETBALL will also issue full refunds for any ages/grades that don't have enough kids to make a complete team. Upon cancellation, a full refund would be made. When you register; you agree to these terms.

I affirm that the participant ("Player") has my consent to participate in practices and games offered by GARFIELD BOYS YOUTH BASKETBALL. I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to participants in these programs, and I agree to assume the full risk of any and all injuries, damages or loss, regardless of severity, that my minor child or I may sustain as a result of said participation. I understand that there is an element of risk inherent in youth sports, and as parent/legal guardian of the Player, I take full responsibility for his/her actions and physical condition. Furthermore, I understand that certain risks, dangers, and injuries due to things such as inclement weather, slipping, falling, poor skill level or conditioning, carelessness, horseplay, unsportsmanlike conduct, premises defect, inadequate or defective equipment, inadequate supervision, instruction or officiating, and all other circumstances inherent to youth sports programs exist. Therefore, it is recognized that it is impossible for GARFIELD BOYS YOUTH BASKETBALL to guarantee absolute safety. I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless GARFIELD BOYS YOUTH BASKETBALL and its representatives, coaches, volunteers, agents, and any county, town, school district, or venue in which program is being held, from all claims or liability for loss, damages and/or injuries, to the named Player and/or any third parties person or property; caused by and resulting from any causes whatsoever.

In consideration of being allowed to participate on behalf of GARFIELD BOYS YOUTH BASKETBALL and related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that: Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and, I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases. If, however, I observe and any unusual or significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS GARFIELD BOYS YOUTH BASKETBALL and its representatives, coaches, volunteers, agents, and any county, town, school district, or venue, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASEES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IF FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
