----------------------------------------------------
Appointments, Quotes & Service Area
All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued and are subject to change if part prices or availability change.
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments or late changes may result in a $50 fee. Please allow a 15–30 minute arrival window for mobile service.
A travel fee may apply for service outside Kuna, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Boise, and Eagle. Please call to confirm pricing.
Severe weather or material shortages may delay or reschedule appointments. Safety comes first.
We reserve the right to refuse service, including warranty service, at our discretion for any reason, including safety concerns, location accessibility, or customer behavior.
Vehicle Access & Customer Responsibilities
The customer must provide a safe, flat work area with at least 5 feet of clearance on all sides of the vehicle.
The vehicle must be unlocked and cleared of personal items before service begins. If access is not available, the appointment may be canceled and a service fee may apply.
The customer agrees to disclose prior damage, previous repairs, or modifications before work begins.
Shields Auto Glass is not responsible for damage to brittle or aged components such as trim, clips, moldings, or cowling pieces that may fail during normal handling.
For remove-and-reinstall (R&R) services, Shields Auto Glass is not responsible if the existing glass cracks or breaks during or after removal.
Calibration & Diagnostics Disclaimer
Shields Auto Glass does not perform ADAS calibrations.
Some vehicles require calibration after windshield replacement to restore systems such as lane assist or forward-collision alerts.
If calibration is not completed when required, certain safety features may not operate correctly. The customer is responsible for scheduling and completing calibration.
Shields Auto Glass is not responsible for diagnostic lights, recalibration, or system malfunctions caused by unperformed calibration.
Customer Property & Liability
Shields Auto Glass is not responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle or for resetting radios, cameras, sensors, or ADAS features after service.
Liability for any claim will not exceed the cost of the service performed. Shields Auto Glass is not responsible for indirect costs such as rental vehicles, lost wages, or loss of use.
Stickers & Permits
Shields Auto Glass cannot guarantee removal or preservation of windshield stickers, including parking permits, toll passes, car wash tags, or membership decals. Stickers may not remain intact, readable, or adhesive after removal.
Customer-Provided Glass & Parts
Shields Auto Glass cannot guarantee the quality, fit, or performance of customer-provided glass or parts. No warranty is offered on customer-supplied components.
Rear-View Mirror Electronics
Some mirrors contain electronic features such as auto-dimming, temperature sensors, cameras, or compass modules. Shields Auto Glass is not responsible for electronic mirror functions that fail due to age or pre-existing issues.
Accessories Attached to the Windshield
Items attached to the glass—such as dash cam mounts, wiring, tint strips, transponders, or adhesive-mounted accessories—may need to be removed during service. Shields Auto Glass is not responsible for accessories that cannot be reattached or do not adhere the same afterward.
Glass Quality & Manufacturer Standards
Minor optical distortions or manufacturing imperfections may occur and are considered normal within industry standards.
Sudden temperature shifts may cause stress cracks unrelated to installation or repair.
Insurance Coverage Disclaimer
Shields Auto Glass is not responsible for delays or claim denials from your insurance provider. Customers must verify deductible and coverage before scheduling service.
Authorized Representative & Third-Party Responsibility
If service is scheduled by an agent (fleet, dealership, rental company, family member, etc.), that person is responsible for authorization, accuracy, and payment.
