We connect ambitious individuals with industry leaders, empowering the next generation of investors and operators.Role OverviewWe are seeking an entrepreneurial and highly driven Community Manager to build and grow our presence in San Francisco. This role will serve as the local face of Sutton Capital — hosting monthly networking events, building relationships with VC, PE, and investment banking professionals, and co-creating content through live podcast sessions with our students.
As an community manager, you’ll have the autonomy to shape the community while being supported by Sutton Capital’s global network and media team.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management
-Organize and host monthly in-person meetups with local venture capitalists, private equity investors, and investment bankers.Manage venue selection, guest outreach, RSVPs, and on-site logistics.Content & Media-Coordinate and film live podcast sessions with Sutton Capital students and guest speakers from the investing world.-Deliver video/audio files to Sutton’s media team for editing and distribution across channels.
-Community Building-Cultivate relationships with local industry professionals to drive attendance and engagement.
-Act as a brand ambassador, representing Sutton Capital’s values and mission in the SF community.Collaboration
-Work closely with Sutton’s central team to align on content themes, brand standards, and audience-building strategies.Qualifications-Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for finance, investing, and community building.
-Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.-Experience organizing events or producing content (podcasts, panels, interviews, etc.) is a plus.-Self-starter who thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced environment.
-Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with the ability to attend/host in-person events.

-Hosted events in the past
-Experience filming and posting social media content
-Need to know how to grow an email list organically through event management
-Have an existing audience in the bay area
