Come join us to learn about the engineering program at CSM, transfer pathways to four-year engineering schools, the opportunity for students to pursue mechanical or electrical engineering to complete their bachelor’s degree through USMSM and explore engineering career opportunies that exist in Southern Maryland.
CSM offers three different two-year associate of science degrees to accommodate students who are interested in mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, computer, bio-med, fire protection, or aerospace engineering. After completing their associate degree, students may transfer to a four-year engineering school, a growing number of which CSM has formal transfer agreements with.
CSM’s signature engineering transfer pathway, the Southern Maryland Engineering Partnership, allows mechanical and electrical engineering students to transfer to the University of Maryland’s A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland in California, MD. These students also may have the opportunity for an internship with the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), a division of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), with a potential full-time employment opportunity upon graduation.
You will have the opportunity to tour the state of the art SMART building and participate in engaging demonstrations of the labs in action. The Opportunity Expo gives you a chance to explore all that CSM has to offer, discuss county requirements with county advisers and network with engineering companies that exist in Southern Maryland.
