The Academic Emergency Medicine Pharmacists Interest Group is committed to the goal of recognizing members who have contributed in a significant way through their talents and commitment to the profession.

Emergency Medicine Pharmacist of the Year Award
Eligibility
- Current SAEM and AEMP member
- Members who have been in practice ≥ 5 years following residency training
- Members of the AEMP Steering Committee, AEMP Membership Committee Chair, the AEMP scholarship charge lead, and those included in scoring are ineligible to receive scholarships
- Ineligible for 5 years after receiving the award
Selection Criteria
- Evidence of dedication to emergency medicine (EM) pharmacy through a consistent track record of excellent clinical work and outstanding professionalism
- Evidence of achievements, innovation, and dedication to EM through teaching and education-based scholarly activity within the past calendar year
- Evidence of promoting EM pharmacy via advising, advocating, mentorship, and actualizing systemic change such as increasing diversity and inclusivity in EM
- National involvement and presence in EM and pharmacy practice (e.g. through SAEM committees, research consortiums, presentations, abstracts, posters, etc.)
- An EM pharmacist whose colleagues feel serves as an exemplary role model
- Assessment for the EM Pharmacist of the Year will be based on the previous calendar of the year before the annual meeting

Emergency Medicine Pharmacy New Practitioner of the Year Award
Eligibility
- Current SAEM and AEMP member
- Members who have been in practice (excluding residency) < 5 years
- Members of the AEMP Steering Committee, AEMP Membership Committee Chair, the AEMP scholarship charge lead, and those included in scoring are ineligible to receive scholarships
- Prior winners of this award are ineligible to receive this award again in the future
Selection Criteria
- Evidence of achievements, innovation, and dedication to EM through teaching and education-based scholarly activity
- National involvement and presence in EM and pharmacy (e.g. through professional organizations/committees, research consortiums, presentations, abstracts, posters, etc.)
- An EM Pharmacist whose colleagues feel serves as an exemplary role model.

Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Resident of the Year Award
Eligibility
- Current PGY2 EM pharmacy resident or having finished residency < 1 year prior to the award submission deadline
- Members of the AEMP Steering Committee, AEMP Membership Committee Chair, the AEMP scholarship charge lead, and those included in scoring are ineligible to receive scholarships
- Prior winners of this award are ineligible to receive this award again in the future
Selection Criteria
- Evidence of early career achievements, innovation, and dedication to emergency medicine through teaching and education-based scholarly activity
- National involvement and presence in emergency medicine and pharmacy (e.g. through professional organizations/committees, research consortiums, presentations, abstracts, posters, etc.)
- An EM Pharmacy Resident whose colleagues feel serves as an exemplary role model

- An EM provider whose colleagues feel serves as an exemplary role model and advocate for the profession of pharmacy
- Local, regional, or national involvement and presence in emergency medicine and pharmacy (e.g., through professional organizations/committees, research consortiums, presentations, abstracts, posters, etc.)
