About the Call
The Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture invites community members to share their personal and family photographs and images of themselves and/or loved ones interacting with Benjamin Dominguez’s sculptures at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area (750 S Santa Anita Ave, South El Monte, CA 91733) over the years. The artworks are titled Starfish, Octopus, Fish, Tripod, Mother Dragon and Two-Headed Dragon, all completed in 1961 and composed of concrete, paint, and steel.
Please provide all known information about the images and sign the photo release at the end of this form, which grants the Department of Arts and Culture the right to retain and publish submitted images. Images may be used on the County's Website, or in official County publication or displays, public newspapers, magazines, reports, or other public document; or electronic or digital recordings.
