POSTCODE: ART PROJECT
There are many ways you can be in this art project and everyone is invited. You can answer our questions or you might have questions of your own. Share your ideas in any way you want — write, draw, paint, add photos or stickers, whatever you think of!
We are wondering…
What are you sending on?
What are your hopes for the future? What are you sending on for 2026, or further ahead in time?
What are you remembering?
Is there a moment in the past you want to speak about? Do you have something you want to say to someone? Or to a place or time?
Step 1:
Make something or write something.
Step 2:
Take a photo or scan of your thing, or have your writing ready.
Step 3:
Fill out this form by Tuesday 28 October. You can use this form to send us your work and find out more information about how we will show your work.
What happens next?
Whatever you create and send will be part of an exhibition called POSTCODE at Contemporary Art Tasmania (CAT) during 8 – 29 November 2025.
Each submission will be printed on A3 paper using the same POSTCODE template design so they feel connected as part of the exhibition.

What is the exhibition about?
POSTCODE is about how we connect with each other. Today, we’re always online, flooded with messages and expected to be available. This project asks: if we slowed down, would our ways of talking and sharing be more thoughtful?
We’re living in a time where new technologies dominate, but creative expression is just as important. POSTCODE asks what’s on your mind right now? As we move into 2026, do you have any hopes reflections or concerns?
Is there an exhibition opening?
Yes! It will be at 2pm on Saturday 8 November. It will be family friendly and we will be serving food and drinks (no alcohol) and have some activities. Please come along!
I can't come to opening, can I still see the exhibition?
Yes! You can visit it until 29 November. The gallery is open every week from Wednesday to Saturday, 12-5pm.
