Training and Game times:
Training sessions and game times will be confirmed by the Coach at the beginning of the season once fixtures have been released.
Parents/caregivers are expected to be at training sessions unless your child is booked into OSHC.
Sports carnivals are held towards the end of the season for most sports.
Team Communication:
The Heja App is used for all schedules and team communication.
Download the App and the Coach will email the team code just before the season starts.
Team Structure:
Each sport requires a volunteer Co-ordinator to oversee the overall program.
Within each team, the following structure applies:
Coach - runs training and game days, develops players’ skills, and encourages inclusive participation.
Team Manager - manages all communication and scheduling through the Heja app, assists the coach where required including stepping in to take training/games in the absence of the coach.
Parent/Caregiver Volunteers - provide valuable support with tasks such as equipment setup/pack-down, stepping in to take training/games in the absence of the coach.
This structure ensures that Coaches can concentrate on coaching while Managers and volunteers handle the administrative and practical aspects of the team.
There are also incentives for Coaches, including free coaching clinics and the waiver of your child's sports fees.
